Awkwafina
Awkwafina began as an American musician and rapper performing sly tunes that dealt with topics like racial or sexuality with a humorous twist. Prior to her move to Hollywood the singer could perform a variety of tracks. She was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants from Forest Hills Queens her first encounter with the world of music was through the trumpet. The classical, jazz, and hip-hop studies began when she was just a teenager. Following a focus on education, she earned a degree in journalism in the college as well as a women's studies specialization. Not until after graduation did she start focusing on music. Her track in 2012 My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success on the Internet and was later released on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. The album also contained also were viral songs like Queef (body-positive) as well as NYC Bitche$. The single that debuted was directly connected to the album Awkwafinas NYC, her 2015 travel guide. Her resume contained both an author and musician. Now she was looking to further her career in acting. Apart from the early television shows like Girl Code and Tawk, she's also appeared in movies including Neighbors2Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018, she landed several notable roles including Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. Her EP came out, in Fina We Trust in June in the same year.
